Our Story

1920's

Victor Stationery has been manufacturing quality paper stationery and exercise books since the early 1920s. Our experience in producing quality paper stationery guarantees that all of our products are made to the highest possible quality standard.

1968

Founded in the 1930s, Aisling quickly became a leading force in Irish education. Joining the Victor family in 1968, Aisling copy books remain a high-street favorite and are widely available across Ireland. In fact, these iconic notebooks are practically a household name – mention making Aisling copy books to any Irish person, and there's a 99% chance they'll recognise the brand instantly!

1989

Victor becomes the No. 1 Exercise Book Supplier to the UK and Irish markets. We are experts in production, with over 80 years experience in the manufacturing of high quality paper based products and we constantly refine our processes to produce the best results in the market.

2000

We’ve partnered with the Tree Council of Ireland to raise awareness of native Irish trees, as featured on the back of AISLING copy books. The 'AISLING Forest' project in Ballymacarbry, Co. Waterford, is underway, focusing on planting trees to promote environmental awareness and sustainability among students and the community.

2006

Rhino Stationery proudly partners with Save the Rhino International! Their logo appears on 50 million RHINO exercise books annually, contributing over £116,000 to rhino conservation so far. Since 2001, Save the Rhino has grown from a small charity to a major force, raising over £2 million annually for vital conservation programs across Africa and Asia, protecting all five rhino species.

2007

Launched 100% recycled notebooks and pads, each one celebrating rhinos we are helping to protect through our partnership with the charity Save the Rhino International.

2008

Relocate to purpose-built factory in Tallinn, Estonia to implement cutting-edge production methods and techniques… Bringing quality paper stationery to the world through the philosophy of Lean. Our factory has achieved FSC® (FSC - C092742) and PEFC (PEFC/19-31-05) certification along with the well-known Swan Label accreditation, which reflects the high environmental standards required, not only in materials used but also in production methods and waste handling, with special emphasis on continuous improvement using Kaizen.

2018

Delighted to be awarded a Stationers’ Company Warrant for our RHINO Flexiback Journal Notebook in recognition of manufacturing to the highest possible quality standard, using cutting-edge methods and techniques.

2020

We are on a mission to eliminate single-use plastics and in 2020 we replaced plastic shrink-wrap on RHINO exercise books with a sustainable paper banding, making the wrapping recyclable and helping us eliminate over 60 tonnes of single-use plastic per year!

2022

Today, we are one of Europe’s largest manufacturers. Our factory has achieved FSC® (FSC - C092742) and PEFC (PEFC/19-31-05) certifications, along with the Swan Label; credible assurance that we are sourcing materials from sustainably managed forests and adhere to best practices throughout the production process and supply chain. We print with water-based and solvent-free ink and of course, all paper contents are 100% recyclable.

2023

We donated 24 pallets of our RHINO exercise books to School in a Bag. Our marketing team assisted in packing those books in bags to be sent off to children all over the world.

2023

We launched our own distribution in the UK from a fully stocked warehouse, enabling us to supply trade customers with a minimum of one carton, offering over 450 RHINO branded products across Education, Retail, and Commercial.

2024

We are delighted to announce that our RHINO tinted paper range has been awarded the prestigious Stationers' Warrant! This accolade underpins our commitment to excellence, as we continually strive to meet the highest criteria in our field. We are grateful for this honour and remain dedicated to delivering exceptional products.
